What Kind of Title Is This, Dave? Seems Like Something Pretty Big!
"Well, probably, one of the most important things to know about this album is that it is all about hope! Musically speaking and considering all the selections included, Coming With Clouds truly offers people today quite a bit in terms of true hope.
In this album, everyone will find some of the greatest, and most tender, songs of perseverance, faith and connection with the Divine, songs like "Only Believe," "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness." And of course, these aren't Sunday church arrangements! No, these are arrangements that hopefully for most people will fit nicely into the quiet times and the down times of everyday life.
Also, everyone should know that "Coming In Clouds" is not a phrase that I came up with! And as many true believers all around the world know already, it's way, way more than an odd or catchy title! The phrase itself, "Coming With Clouds" is taken directly from the book of Revelation, the very last book of the Bible. The book of Revelation, while certainly filled with complexity and mystery, is well worth the time it takes to read it. Revelation lays out various scenarios for "the end times," those days ahead that will precede the end of the age," or in other words, the final days before Christ's triumphant return for His faithful followers all around the world.
The bottom line? For believers in Jesus, the news is good! And in fact, it couldn't be better! In short, while there will certainly be difficulties and lots of things with which to contend, in the end, there will also be a victory that in truth, is almost unimaginable. But, most of all, it will be a time of inarguably, the greatest celebration since the world began.
Wow, so accordingly, my album bearing the name Coming With Clouds also of course features songs of victory and divine power namely, "Glory, Glory, Hallelujah" and "Up From The Grave He Arose," two great songs of the church that are certainly not about wistful watching and waiting!
Time to get ready? Probably yes! But, when?! Well, no one on earth knows the precise time. But, we have been told to look for "the signs" and, we've also been told that we'll be able to recognize them when we see them. However, for anyone who's been looking and listening to things in the world lately and saying to themselves or hopefully others, "hey, that sounds backwards...upside down, or, the opposite of what it should really be," I offer that in fact, these actually are the prophesied "signs of the times." But, wait...don't be too afraid! In Luke 21:28, Jesus offers hope and comfort to his followers in relation to these times specifically by simply saying, "Look up,...your redemption draweth nigh."
When will Jesus come with the clouds? Certainly, I don't claim to know! But, I do know that until that time, and even afterward, I'm pleased to share with believers and would be believers around the world Coming With Clouds, a powerful yet peaceful instrumental album for all nations. May this labor of love at best both carry and maybe even embolden the sentiments of hope, and the impending great joy and triumph, that will someday be completely and totally fulfilled...for the faithful!"
